She is survived by her only daughter, Reyne Hirsch. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Trim, and Odeal Hobdy.
Vonda was born in New Orleans, LA on October 1, 1949. She moved to Houston and attended high school at San Jacinto High. Upon graduating, she gave birth to her daughter, Reyne Hirsch.
Vonda worked in the health insurance industry until the day she retired. She was well respected in her field and known for her tireless work ethic. After retiring, she took on a part time job at a pet store so she could ask her favorite question daily… “Can I pet your dog?”
She lived in Houston until 2018 when she moved to Galveston, Texas to be closer to her favorite place…the beach.
Vonda leaves behind numerous close friends, and her long time four-legged companion, Cleo.
At her request, there will be no services. Instead, the next time you are at a beach and your toes are in the sand, look up and smile. She will be there.
