

Walker Douglas “Kelly” Woodyard, 93 passed away on 8/5/16 in Tomball, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was born on 2/16/23 in Houston, Texas. Kelly proudly served during WWII, as a U.S. Marine. He served 26 years as a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy, doing a job he loved. After retirement, Kelly ran a Hot Shot Service for numerous years. He was the President of The Harris County Jr. Deputy Sheriff’s Mounted Posse. Kelly was a loving man who would do anything for his family and friends, a value that was passed on to his children and grandchildren. He leaves a legacy of love.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dixie, his parents George Leslie and Vallye Tombaugh Woodyard, daughter in law Linda Crosby, and great granddaughter Alexis Crosby. He is survived by son Victor Crosby, Daughter Kim Harris and husband Wayne. Grandchildren Stephanie Black and husband Troy, Christopher Crosby and wife Kitty, Jennifer Medina and husband Howard, Brandi Brantner and husband Michael. Megan Fite and husband Craig, Dillon Harris and wife Ashley, and Taylor Henthorn. Great Grandchildren Bryce Black, Griffin Black, Kyle Crosby, Courtney Medina, Joshua Brantner, Caleb Brantner, Jonathan Brantner, Katherine Brantner, Craig Fite, Travis Fite, Nicolette Harris, and Atlas Harris. Numerous family and friends.
The family would like to offer a sincere thank you for the loving care Kelly received at Serenity’s Haven during the last months of his life.
The family will receive friends and family Tuesday 8/9/16 from 6-8pm Memorial Service will be Wednesday at 10am
