God blessed Lorna and I with 2 sons. We will not get over loosing Junior. There is so much I want to say, but my heart and mind is still in disarray. As a father, there are more things I should have done to help my son during his difficult times, but hopefully we learn each day. 
 We wish to thank you all, for the kind and uplifting messages, cards, phone calls, and personal words. This clearly shows us, that our family is not the only ones that loves and miss Junior. 
 Our greatest wish for Junior, is that through the mercy of God, our Heavenly Father, he will be taken up into his (Gods) kingdom when the time comes. That is the path we all must aim for.

As a child you were curious, inquisitive and wise beyond your years.  You had so many interesting questions, you stumped me.  At around age seven or mabye eight when you would ask, “why is a butterfly called a butterfly when they don’t make butter?”  My reply was “that’s a good question – we’ll ask Dad when he comes home".  I never gave it a second thought when I was told – that’s a butterfly.  Another one was, “why the calendar start out with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd then onwards the 4th until it gets to the 31st.  Why didn’t they just say the 1th, the 2th, the 3th -- the way he said it was the oneth, the twoth, the threeth , fourth etc?”  You blew me away as I never gave it a second thought; your Dad was always at work when I was asked these amazing questions from our seven year old child.  You were never a big talker then, but you were a big  observer.  I knew then you were a special child.
You came from school one day and told me, “Mommy, I saw the woman of my dreams and that’s who I will marry.  I said, you need to finish school and get your degree before the thinking about marrying.  You will have to support her, but he was adamant that’s what he was going to do.  He introduced her to us at one of his high school football games.
My son grew into this amazing person who, once he sets his mind on something, he would follow through.  He married Rochelle “the woman of his dreams”.  Together they brought up Brittany, Brandon, Allen, Toni and Khris.  He was a confident, loving, kind-hearted, proud, loyal, committed, honorable, responsible, awesome, brilliant son, brother, grandson, husband and father, cousin, nephew, friend, who loved his family very much.
Brittany, Brandon, Allen, Toni and Khris your Dad loved you and was proud of you.  Please continue to make him proud.
I love you son, I’ll miss our talks, our IM chats but most of all I’ll miss you dearly.  Rest in peace son, in the arms of our Lord and Savior….. 'till we meet again.

Glad our paths crossed in our lifetimes. I remember you as kind and gentle soul. Coaches always said "you're too nice..." during football practices. :) Now that God has called his angles to bring you back to him, rejoice eternally in his kingdom my brother.

We were devastated to learn of Walter's death.  On today we grieve and mourn with you because of his loss. We pray that Walter's entire family will find comfort in the Lord Jesus Christ and in fond memories of Walter.

Cuz, I still cannot gather words to express the emotions felt over the last week. Snapshots of our childhood pop in and out of my head, but I'm unable to hold on to them... Faded memories lost to the sands of time. I keep thinking your exit shouldn't have come so soon, but it's not for me to question Gods plan. Doesn't make the present any easier to embrace...

Whenever I think of you cuz..., I smile, I remember my summer holidays with you and Andre.We went exploring,.....sorry Auntie and Uncle .......secret,...(right Andre). You gave me my first lesson on bicycle riding.: ) You held the bike for me, until I started riding on my own.  As I recall it was brief moment of bliss.......'till we realised we hadn't covered lesson 2.... how to stop the thing!...none-the-less all I can remember is how much fun I had and how happy I was........and this I know the world is a better place for me, because of you. I will be forever grateful the times we had.

Walter....what a gentle, sweet soul.  What a unique way that we met you and Rochelle and the children and I am so blessed that we did.  I remember the first time I met you guys.  Walter was so quiet and layed back.  Very soft spoken and a cool sense of humor.  I know all things happen for a reason and sometimes we just don't understand and the truth is when we meet again, it won't even matter!  Rochelle, you just don't understand how much respect I have for you sister and Walter.  The love between the two of you was so evident and though we shouldn't envy others, it was very difficult not to envy what you had together.  You took great care of him and you did it with a smile and I know that he recognized that because it showed in his eyes.  I'm glad that I had the chance to see Walter one more time. Sister, thank you for that! You must have been horrified when it happened but God put angels there to be by your side and I praise Him for that! Though Walter now has the BIG piece of heaven, you still have your little piece of heaven in Louisiana. Don't ever forget that! I love you my friend and I am thinking of you constantly!

Junior, I loved you since the first time I saw you. I remember the nights you kept your mom and dad awake in your bouncer, bouncing at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. You were so happy. I remember when you started creeping. I have never seen anyone creep so fast. As a child you were always there to help your mom. I remember you helping to fix the car by the side of the road ... you could barely see over the bonnett but you were still able to assist. Then your family migrated and I lost that closeness but you were always in my heart. Now that you are with Jesus you will still be in my heart. As I know Jesus needed a rose and he chose you. So my nephew sleep on.

hello cuz its me peewee(lupe martinez) its seems that is was just yesterday that we had a fish fry at your house when i thought the rain was going to ruin it but some how with your help we made it work. Then. lets not forget a few months ago when Nat and Brandon graduated from high school and we shared a few words on how we were so proud of the boys. Last but not least the day you got out of the hospital a few weeks ago and i wanted to give you a big triple meat cheese burger with greasy french frys and you said man i trying to get better well i wish we would have gotten that burger. Some one told me that when we leave this world that we can always come back and visit places we've been if that is true you are always and forever welcomed in my home.Rest in peace cuz you will be missed.

Dear Mom and Dad,

Death is nothing at all - I have only slipped away into the next room.  Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.  Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used.  Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.  Plan, smile, think of me, pray for me.  Let my name be the household word that it always was.  Let it be spoken without effort.  Life means all that it ever meant.  It is the same as it ever was:  there is absolutely unbroken continuity. I worked with Walter for two years at Birkman International. He was responsible for instilling within me a passion for drinking tea-all varieties. 

He was the kindest person you would want to know. Always ready to assist anyone. A BIG smile, and BIG heart, and a BIG love for people. 

When we meet in eternity, we will drink a cup of tea together and talk over old times.

Words alone cannot express how my heart pours out to your family. Walter was always so nice and kind every single time we saw him. Always laughing and making others laugh as well. I remember the gentle, confident soul who sat next to me in class.  Walter spoke to me with respect and ease; something quite remarkable for a high school boy.  To find out Rochelle married Walter brought joy to my heart - what a love story!  I cannot think of two people more wonderfully perfect for each other.  I am so glad for the time you two were given and for the family you created.  Rochelle, I am continually in prayer for you and your family - my heart is in Texas with you every day.  I love you.
