Wanda Nichols Dacus

Wanda Jean Nichols was born on December 18, 1951 and passed from this life on April 15, 2025. Her parents were Charles T. Nichols and Alter Elsberry Nichols. She graduated from Galena Park High School in 1970. Wanda and Craig Dacus married on August 8, 1970 and had twins, Daniel Keith and Jeremy Allen Dacus (deceased at birth) on October 2, 1975

Her sister, Carol Cannon and her brother Charles and wife, Laua live in Bowie, TX. Wanda is mother to Danny and wife, Hannah and grandmother to Audrey and Andrew Dacus. She is aunt to beloved nieces and nephew, Stephanie Willis and husband, Scott, Robert Nichols and wife, Jennifer and Maggie Gill. She is great aunt to Daisy and Marley Willis, Joshua Nichols, and Cole, Olivia, and Claire Gill and great great aunt to Dayton, son of Joshua Nichols and wife JayCee.

Wanda worked with Craig from 1967 until 2007 in the sign business doing secretarial work and any other tasks to help out. In May 2006, Craig began to pastor at Conroe Gospel Tabernacle where she helped playing piano, secretarial work and any other way she could.

Craig and Wanda have attended Gospel Assembly Church since 1972 under pastors, Clyde Patton and wife, Otella, Billy Brown and wife, Sonja, Gary Wright and wife, Becky, and Chad Wright and wife, Shaelyne. They have numerous brothers and sisters in the Lord and made lasting friendships.

A visitation for Wanda will be held Monday, April 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Gospel Assembly Church, 548 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77338. A celebration of life will occur Monday, April 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 548 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77338. A committal service will occur Monday, April 28, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 I-45, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A reception will occur Monday, April 28, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 548 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77338.
