Warren Duane Hataway

Warren D. Hataway went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 24, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta M. Giberson, sister Sandra Weber, and grandmother Clarice Hataway. He is survived by his wife Shirley Annette Hataway and daughter Misty Cone and husband Paul; daughter Sarah Hataway; daughter Rebecca Holt and husband Kelly; daughter Whitney Jackson and husband Michael; grandsons Alex and Christian and granddaughter Emma Cone; and, granddaughter Hannah and grandson Hunter Holt.

Warren started his career as a Houston firefighter in December 1969. After retirement from the fire department, he dedicated his life to teaching for the last 19 years. He had a passion for both teaching and learning. He took pride in his work and touched countless lives.

He was a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather. He loved college sports, dancing, history and geography, reading and writing, and trivia. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

Viewing will be held at Brookside Funeral Home on his birthday, June 27, 2014 from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held the following day on June 28 at 11am. Internment to follow services at Brookside Cemetery.
