Warren Joseph Thornton

Warren received his education from Joseph S Clark High School and Dillard University, New Orleans, LA.

Warren entered peacefully into eternal rest November 4, 2016 at the age of 81. He was a faithful member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church and attended regularly until his health began to fail.

On June 8, 1973 Warren was joined in holy matrimony to Grace Davis. They were blessed to share 43 beautiful years together. Warren was devoted husband, brother, uncle, mentor and friend who had a deep love for his family. His loyalty, love and candor will be greatly missed.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Georgiana & Joseph Thornton, brother, Raymond Thornton and sister, Mary Louise Davis Thornton.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Grace Thornton. Survivors include: siblings: Audrey T. Holloway and Andrew M. Thornton; step-mother, Margaret Thornton; nieces: Sheila Tibbs, Sharon Holloway, Marrisa Davis, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
