Wendell Frederic Smith was born on August 9, 1965 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. to James and Uare Smith. He attended Dillard University and majored in Computer Science. He was also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Wendell had a zest for life and the ability to put a smile on anyone’s face no matter the situation. His love for his parents was undying however misunderstood. He will be missed dearly.

Wendell is predeceased by his father, James Edward Smith, survived by his mother, Uare Andrews Smith, his brothers Brigadier General Carlton G. Smith (LaRachelle), and Anthony B. Smith (Kemala) and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Wendell, we miss you! You always had love and respect for us. You wanted so hard to please us when we were in your presence. We know you were getting tired and knew you wanted rest. You made your aunts feel they were special to you. Thanks for being the caring nephew you were. You will always be our Wendell. You were special to us in showing your love. Hey Wendell, we miss you boy. You know that's our personal greeting each time we meet. Our hearts are broken, but we know you are resting. The last 3 Saturdays we shared together. I never thought you were about to leave us. Thanks for always asking me to pray for you. Thanks for loving uncle Mack and Aunt (Titty). We will always cherish the brackett you gave Uncle Mack, he wears it often. Wendell I will miss you, but I will always carry you in my heart. Take your rest God has given you..
