Wendy Conrad Reinhardt, 90, of Katy, Texas, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, July 22, 2013. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Mike Craft, and granddaughter, Lauren Craft, of Katy, her sister, Elinore Zeeb, and many dear and cherished friends. She is also survived by her faithful cat companion, Jazzy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Kurt Reinhardt, her parents, Felix and Sophie Conrad, and her sister, Helen Evans.
Mrs. Reinhardt was born in Detroit, Michigan. A graduate of Michigan State University, Mrs. Reinhardt moved to Houston after her marriage to Kurt in 1949 to begin her adventure as a naturalized Texan. She was an elementary and pre-school teacher at Kincaid and her own private pre-school, as well as in the Spring Branch Independent School District.
Mrs. Reinhardt was a living example of someone who saw beauty and value in everyone and everything she encountered. She was interested in everything from gardening to art to nature to medicine. She was gentle in her manner and a careful listener. True to her innate ability to share through teaching, she helped in anyway possible to guide her family and friends through any situation they might encounter with her infectious optimism and sense of humor. She was always interested in what anyone she met had to say, and no one could resist her positive outlook. We will miss her greatly.
