

October 4, Wesley Earl Gant was birthed to Mr. O’Neal and Mrs. Lillie Mae Norris Gant and Mr. James McCraw in Center, Shelby County, Texas. Brother Wesley Earl Gant attended the Historic Phillis Wheatley High School in Houston ISD. He married Miss Robbie Jean Hutchinson, who predecease him, on June 28 and they were married for over 50 years. To this union six blessed children were born.
Brother Wesley Earl Gant, Sr., is a Chartered Member of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, Harris County, Texas.
He retired from Local ILA 24 as a Long Shoremen serving over 40 years, seeing many ships come and go from the Port Authority of Houston from across the global world daily loading and unloading various goods rain, shine, hot or cold.
Wesley Earl Gant, Sr., charming smile and warm fatherly touch shall never fade into oblivion but will forever be felt flowing through the life of his loving and devoted family: Wesley Earl Gant, Jr. (deceased), Brenda Joyce Gant-Jasper (Marshall – deceased), Timothy Louis Gant, Sr. (deceased) (Tracey), Yolanda Denise Gant (Lisa Mitchell), Michael Ray Gant, Larry Dwayne Gant (Vivian).
