He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Scott. His sister Pattie Jean Neal and one cousin David Hoffman and wife Willene.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Dorothy. Also, by his son Mike Scott and Theresa. His daughter Melisa Zuercher and husband Allen. Also, two granddaughters Alexis and Ashley Zuercher. A brother-in-law Billy Rutledge of Semmes, Alabama and his daughter Wendy. Also, two nieces, Paula Neal and Pam Armstrong.
Wilbur graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and graduated college at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Wilbur worked in insurance throughout the years. He never had hobbies, but loved working in the yard. He was a member of Spring Baptist Church in Spring, Texas. He was also a deacon since September 1970. He was always liked, and he loved everybody. He never met a stranger.
