

Wilburn “Dud” Brantner, 90, of Splendora, Texas, passed away on March 30, 2026. He was born in Petteway, Texas, on October 6, 1935, to Horace Brantner and Mabry Petteway Brantner. Dud graduated from Bremond High School and received his high school diploma. He met Bonnie Oliver in Houston, Texas, and they were married on February 22, 1958. Dud worked as a pastor for many years, serving several Baptist churches, and was a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church. He had a deep passion for his Savior and enjoyed Astros baseball.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie; nine brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by his sons, Mike, Mark, Phillip, Paul, and Joel Brantner; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Brantner, Asa Brantner, Caleb Brantner, Josiah Brantner, Jonathan Brantner, Harrison Hagendorf, Ryder Brantner, and River Brantner.
The family extends special thanks to Michelle Moore and Brenda Griffin for taking such wonderful care of their dad.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, US, on April 11, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Brookside Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
A Graveside Service will take place at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, US, on April 11, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
