Wilford Mack Booker Jr.

Wilford Mack Booker, Jr., 82, of Houston, TX, passed away on January 27, 2026.

He was born in Cushing, TX on December 25, 1943 to Wilford Mack Booker Sr. and Irma C. Ward. Wilford attended Phyllis Wheatley High School, where he was a star basketball player. He moved to Michigan, where he learned to be a machinist and retired from Reed Tool Company, in 1993, after over 30 years of employment.

Wilford was preceded in death by; his parents; two brothers; three sisters; one son; and one step-daughter. He is survived by; his wife of 37 years, Rose Marie Booker; son, Wilford Stevenson; son, Tommy Black (Cynthia); daughter, Winniferd Proctor (Troy); three step-children; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Monument of Faith COGIC, 2233 Aldine Mail Route Rd., Houston, TX 77039 on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.

A Visitation will be held on February 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Monument of Faith Church of God in Christ, located at 2233 Aldine Mail Rte Rd, Houston, TX 77039. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the same venue from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The Committal Service will take place at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm on February 10, 2026.
