William Ray Barker

Bill was born August 28, 1931 to William Rhyan and Rosa Maebelle Barker of Lincolnton, North Carolina. Bill was the sixth child of eight children. Bill is survived by his wife Margaret of 67 years, daughters Sandra Jolley, Tyra Koenning (Alan), Curtis Barker and Tim Barker. Brother Bob Barker (Pat), and sister Shelby Lowe.

Bill was proceeded in death by his parents William and Rosa, sisters Pauline Levi, Helen Barker, brothers Howard Barker, Clarence Barker, and Jack Barker, son Billie Barker Jr. and son in law Kenneth Jolley.

Bill had 19 loving grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He had many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bill worked as a Cast Iron Welder at Coastal Casting for 41 years. He enjoyed old western movies, and all the classic black and white movies. Bill loved sports especially baseball and football.

The grandsons of William (Bill) Ray Barker Sr. will be pallbearers; David Barker, Chad Mitchell, Brad Mitchell, Bryan Barker, Derek Barker, and great grandson, William Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Dallas Barker, Anthony Mitchell, and Donnie Jolley.
