William David Brand

1935-2017

William "Bill" Brand returned to his heavenly home June 26, 2017. He is survived by his children, Jodie Murray (Courtney) and Jeffrey Brand (Annette). Bill had 5 Grandchildren: Kourtney Murray, Kaylan Thompson (Den), Kurtis Murray, Kristine Gonzalez (Adrian), Joshua (Autumn), and 7 Great Grandchildren: Devin, Lauren, Ethan, Brady & Mallory Thompson, Kamren & Drew Gonzalez.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Catherine Louise Brand. He enjoyed and remained close to Cathy's children Leslie Kohnen (Michael), the late Kim Martin (Robert) and 5 step grandchildren: Connor Martin & Carly Null (Blake Null), Allison Kohnen-Rohling (Weldon Rohling), Mackenzie Kohnen & Madison Kohnen.

Bill was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He spent time in S. Korea where a memorial is there to honor him for teaching design. After a successful career he retired as Vice President from LAN Engineering in Houston,TX.

A service will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest July 1, 2017 at 10:00 am. Please meet in the lobby at 9:30 am for coffee followed by a processional to the gravesite.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be given to Parkinson research.
