

He was a loving husband and father and showed the love of Christ through his giving and loving of others. He served in the Coast Guard during WWII and then graduated from Rice University with an engineering degree.
He was married 65 years and is survived by his children, Ina Lee Burroughs, Roddy Burroughs, and John Burroughs; his six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 11th of January, in the drawing room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 12th of January, at Willow Meadows Baptist Church, 4300 West Belfort Avenue in Houston, where Dr. Johnny Teague, Senior Pastor of Church at the Cross, is to officiate.
The interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Woodlawn Garden of Memories in Houston.
