Bill was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, on June 6, 1942. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Kansas State College of Pittsburg, and his Masters Degree in Business Management from Central Missouri State University. On June 11, 1966, he married the love of his life, Mary Nash. Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and earned the rank of Sargent. Bill worked his way up to Director of Benefits at Kinder Morgan before he retired in 2013. He was a founding parishioner and prominent member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Bill was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, holding the rank of 4th Degree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cole and Frances (Stein) Cole, and his sister Deanne Prochaska. Surviving loving family includes: his wife of 51 years, Mary Cole; sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Randy Reed; brother, Johnny Cole; brother-in-law Dean Prochaska; sister-in-law Nancy (Ann Sue) Smalling; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Patsy and Joe McGreevy, John and Connie Nash; son, Christopher Cole, daughters and son-in-laws, Cheryl and Terry Schaeffer, Carrie and Heath Byrd, Cathy and James Covey; grandchildren, Candice Cole, Sarah and Matt Hawkins; Shawn and Zachery Schaeffer; Isabel, Wyatt and Tyler Byrd; Molly, Adelynn, and Cole Covey; and great grandchildren, Wesley and Brody Hawkins.
Bill was always there for the needs of his family, friends, and neighbors, and will be greatly missed.
