William Earl Hales (Bill), 87, of Spring, Texas passed into eternal rest on March 20, 2021. He was born in Meridian, Mississippi on October 4, 1933. He had a high school education and joined the Navy when he was 17 years old and served for four years. Bill married the love of his life, Julia Anne Finucane on September 19, 1959. Bill was the Body Shop Manager for several car dealers throughout Houston, La Porte and Conroe, to include Jimmy Green Chevrolet, Monty Haskin Chevrolet, Lone Star Ford, and Jay Mark Chevy. Fishing and hunting and his grandkids were his passions. He was a member of the Cleveland Bass Club.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Otis Hales, Sr. and Ina Mae Burt Hales, sisters: Doris Marie Hales Smith, Hazel Ruth Hales, Ina Louise Hales Mitchell, Sarah Juanita Hales Cook; brothers; Robert Calvin (Bob) Hales, Charles Alvin Hales, Otis Murphy Hales, Jr.; wife Julia Anne Finucane Hales and son William Earl Hales, Jr.
Left to cherish his memories are children: Angela Dianne Vogel, Patricia Mary Phelps, and Michael Wayne Hales; grandchildren: Natasha Anne Sample and her husband Andrew, Christopher Loren Vogel, Justin Phelps, Nicholas Burke, Jonathan Burke; great-grandchildren Ryan, Brayden, Lacie and Rylee; sisters Norma Jean Hales Adams, and Deanna Faye Hales Gibson.
Family and friends will gather for services at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will be Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021 in the Chapel of Chimes, with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
