William Keith Markus

He was married to Jeannine in Chicago and to Maria Elena in Ayacucho, Peru. Bill served his country for 20 years apart of the Armed Forces with honor and pride.

He had a passion for golf and his dog JJ.

Bill is survived by his wife Maria Elena Markus; five children Kate, Kelly, Bill, Karen and Walter; daughter- in law Melissa; son-in-laws George, Glenn and Steve; eight grandchildren Mike, Kalyn, Sarah, Tim, Zack,Donie, Jacob and Chad; thirteen great grandchildren Wes, Brooklyn, Emily, Schuyler, Taya, Rozyn, Annie, Jack, Maggie, Lucas, Barrett, and Daniel; three sisters Jill, Janis and Melody; his Peruvian family Sarita, Juan Carlos, Ceci, Gustavo, Pamela, Ian, Matt, Nicole and Nicholas and many friends.

A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
