

William attended Lamar High School and was a beautifully gifted artist. He enjoyed living in Austin where he pursued a career in art and photography. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
William is survived by his loving parents, Ann Tucker Thompson and August Edward Shouse and wife, Deborah Lee Shouse. William is also survived by his brother, Edward Shouse and wife, Kimberly; brother, Tucker Shouse; step-sister, Courtenay Birchler and husband, Scott; step-sister, Samantha Symonds, and step-brother, Sam Symonds; grandmothers, Betty Jo Thompson and Mary Ann Carrico; aunts and uncles, Clark Thompson, Jr. and wife Anne, Paul Thompson and wife Pam, Mary Catherine Shouse, and Earl Shouse. Preceding him in death are grandparents, Clark Thompson, H.E. “Pete” Carrico, and Earl and Gloria Shouse.
The memorial service is to be conducted at half-past one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 13th of March, in the chapel of The Church of St. John the Divine, 2450 River Oaks Boulevard in Houston, where the Rev. Reagan W. Cocke, Associate Rector, is to officiate. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the nearby Sumners Hall.
Prior to the memorial service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed towards the Palmer Drug Abuse Program, Three Memorial City Plaza, 840 Gessner, Ste. 1300, Houston, TX 77024.
