William V. Scott born on 11/23/1955 to Leo and Betty Scott passed away on September 29, 2015. He is survived by his children, Sarah, Jamie, and Anthony Scott; father, Leo Scott; sister, Judy Sellers; grandchildren, Mayci, Sean, Aaron, Skyler, Haylee, and Peyton Scott along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his two mothers, Betty and Anna Scott, a sister, Carrie Brewer and a brother, Jimmy Scott.
Vernon served in the US military-Army for 20 years, 9 months, and 1 day. He proudly served tours in Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He was also stationed in Korea, Germany, and Kuwait.
Vernon loved his family and his grandchildren brought him much joy. Thanks to the VA doctors and nurses and Heart to Heart Hospice for the loving care they gave Vernon.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October, 6, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy., Houston, TX. A visitation will precede the service on the same day at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
