W.C. "Jack" Williams, 80, of New Caney, Texas passed into eternal rest on September 28, 2019. He was born in Huntington, Texas on September 22, 1939. Jack's early life was full of family and love; he came from a modest, but loving family. He lost his mother in his early teen years and that was difficult to swallow well into adulthood. He served our country in the Army, but gained entry by lying about his age. Jack had a career in construction and owned many companies. Gardening and home projects were his passions. He also liked square dancing, bowling, and hunting "on his daughters' birthday." He absolutely adored his grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by parents John Austin and Roxie Mae Williams, wife Dollie K. Williams, and he was the last surviving sibling from six children: Louise, Pete, Mae, "Bug" J.T., and Polly. Left to cherish his memories are wife Patricia Grant Williams; daughters: Frances Robertson and husband Derrick, Brenda Will; sons: Joseph Williams and Allen Grant; grandchildren: Beth Daskalos, David Renfroe, Forrest Woodward, Chance Woodward, Robin Grant, Britnee Woodward, Elizabeth Schroeder, Chris Grant, David Godbold, Kennedy Deville and Kylie Will; and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to his hospice team who showed him love and respect in his final days.
The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77039. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside, with the interment immediately following in Brookside Memorial Park.
