

Bill Pace more formally known as Williams Middleton Pace. Born on March 22, 1928, in Pomona, Florida went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2021. He leaves behind his wife, Berit Aagaard Pace, and children Williams M Pace Jr., Paula Mullen, Lexington Pace, and Julia Pace. He also had thirteen Grand children, twenty-two Great Grand Children, and three Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Maddux Pace, and daughter Gina Pace Gullberg. In his professional life Bill was an executive in “Lending” for several Texas Banks and Savings and Loans. Active in civic and professional affairs, he served on the Board of Directors for the National Rifle Association, National Association of the Remodeling Industry, The National Spa and Pool Association, and served as the President of the Houston Credit Managers. Bill was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and participate in shooting competitions. He was a long-time member of Bayou Rifles, Inc. a local shooting club. He created some great memories hunting in the US, as well as, Africa, and Australia.
As a competitor Bill won many competitions but was particularly proud to have won the National Championship for shooters over 70 in 2004 in Black Powder Silhouette. He served as a Platoon Sergeant in the U.S. Army in the Philippine Islands and was honorably discharged from the army in July of 1947. He was a member of Berachah Church having attended Berachah since the “Quonset Hut” days in the 1950’s. Memorials can be sent to Berachah Church or the National Rifle Association.
