Willie Mae Miller was born on June 20th 1953, in Tenaha,Texas. She was the 5th born to Bennie Miller Jr and Mary Nell Pugh-Miller and was named after her Grandmother who was also named Willie Mae, otherwise known as Willie Faye. Willie Mae attended DeWalt Elementary school and LaPorte Jr High. She graduated in 1970-71 from LaPorte High school. After graduating, she attended Lee College and San Jacinto College, where she pursued to become a Nursing assistant. Willie Mae gave her life to Christ at an early age. She continued to follow the Lord when she was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church as a child. Into her adulthood she became a member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ. She proceeded to raise her own children and grandchildren in the same church. Willie Mae had a beautiful spirit. Always laughing and being the life of the party. She could turn your day completely around with her cunning attitude and funny stories. Willie Mae loved spending time with her family and friends. On top of her delicious cooking and her love for flowers, taking care of her business and being the glue of the family was her number one priority.
After fighting a long battle with her health, Willie Mae was called home on June 20, 2022, her 69th birthday. She leaves to cherish her memories and unconditional love: Her children- Tammy Renee Miller, Andrea Demont Miller (Starlet) and Christian Lynn Brown; Her Grandchildren- Jordan Anthony Bray, T’ara Bryunn Miller, Ciera Tajae Curtis and Tianna Nicole Bray; Her siblings- Sylvia Miller Canty, Theresa Jones and Cynthia Miller.
