

Wilma was a member of a pioneer DeWitt County Texas family. She attended Texas Lutheran College in Seguin, Texas. Wilma was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Houston and a Life Member of the Presidents Associates of Texas Lutheran College.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, the late Wallace Charles Braun; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Menn; and her sister, Lucille Thompkins.
She is survived by her daughters, Gayle Stoffel and her husband, Paul, Donna Sands and her husband, Dale; her son, Wally Braun and his wife, Fran; her grandchildren, Cathy Allday, Wayne Clements, Brett Clements, Kurt Sands, Cameron Sands, Tammy Ellis and Chad Braun; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Allday, Caroline Allday, Reynolds Sands, Patrick Sands, Caleb Ellis, Ashlyn Ellis, Maddie Ellis, Macie Ellis, Hannah Braun and Hailey Braun.
A funeral service is to be conducted at half-past ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 13th of October, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where the Rev. Beth Marie Halvorsen, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, is to officiate.
The interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in honor of Wilma may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church, 3606 Beauchamp St., Houston, TX, 77009; or to the Texas Lutheran University, 1000 West Court St., Seguin, TX, 78155.
