In the early morning hours of February the 25th, James Wyatt Walker IV, 54, left his earthly binds to be with his Heavenly Father. Wyatt left behind his loving wife of 34 years, Molly Riddle Walker, his mother, Lura Mae Walker, and father, James Wyatt Walker III, and his two sons, James Wyatt Walker V, and Garrett Ryan Walker. He also left behind his two sisters, Glenda S. Walker of Houston and Jimmy Kay Sayers of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Lynn Moat of San Jose, California.
James Wyatt Walker IV was born March 15, 1956, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was the youngest and only son born to his parents James and Lura Mae. Wyatt graduated from Tuloso Midway High School in Corpus Christi in 1974. While attending Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, he met the love of his life Molly Riddle. They married on August 15,1976.
After he graduated from Southwest Texas University in August of 1978, they lived in San Antonio before permanently settling down in Houston, Texas in 1979. Their first son, James was born in 1981, followed by Garrett in 1984.
Wyatt, a devout Christian, was ordained a deacon at Autumn Baptist Church. Their Lord and Savior was the foundation on which they built their family and home.
Wyatt had several different careers in his lifetime, but he loved accounting. The last position he held was for Horn Solutions, where he worked for many years enjoying his job and the company of good friends.
The loss of Wyatt from our lives will be deeply felt. We will miss his warmth and compassion; his quick wit and contagious laugh; his beautiful smile and twinkling eyes. We can only take solace that some day we will see him again.
