Yolanda Marie Guzman was born on August 12, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. As a wife, mother, sister, aunt and cousin she was very compassionate and caring for those whom she loved. She also had a deep interest in spiritual things.
In 1973 she began to study the bible and enjoy warm friendships with Jehovah’s Witnesses. Then on September 21, 1975 after three years of Bible study, she symbolized her personal dedication to God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Yolanda married Jose Guzman in 1982 and raised two daughters together, Sara and Andrea Guzman. She loved being able to spend time with her family and friends, whether it be serving God or traveling to new places.
Yolanda found great peace and fulfillment in her relationship with Jehovah God. She felt great joy and satisfaction in sharing the things she learned from the Bible with others. She continued even throughout her sickest moments faithfully up until her death on June 8, 2021.
Our dear Yolanda now takes her rest and awaits the time when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus’ voice and come out” (John 5:28, 29).
