Yvonne was born in Downsville, Louisiana, on the 30th of January 1926, to Robert and Cleaver Taylor and married Millard Evans of Shreveport, Louisiana, on the 22nd of November 1950.
After completing her education in Monroe, Louisiana, Yvonne moved to Shreveport where she worked for United Gas Pipeline Company. In 1975 she moved to Houston, Texas, and continued her work as an executive administrative assistant with the company until her retirement in 1986. She loved beautiful flowers, especially red roses. Hosting and cooking for family dinners was one of her greatest delights.
Yvonne is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Millard Evans; her son, David Evans; daughter-in-law, Elvira Evans; granddaughter, Adriana Stroh; grandsons, Daniel and Elijah Evans; and great grandson Peyton Warren.
