Yvonne Marie Griffin, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2018. Yvonne was born in Houston, Texas on April 10, 1928 to Edward and Emma (Munson) Unsworth and was the youngest of 5 children. She was married to Arthur Lee Griffin on May 31, 1946 and they were married 62 wonderful years. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2008. She attended Jefferson Davis High School and Southwestern Bible Institute. Yvonne volunteered at Texas women’s Hospital, was an active member of First Colony Bible Chapel and loved to play dominoes. She is survived by daughter Linda Zubler and son Greg Griffin. She was an amazing Nana to 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, a loving wife, a spectacular cook and a caretaker to anyone in need. She will be immeasurably missed.
