
Zelda was born in Garrison, Texas, where she spent her childhood before making her home in Houston, Texas for most of her adult life. She later retired to Weldon, Texas. She was the beloved matriarch of the Biedrzycki and Gambill families and a woman whose strength, faith, and devotion to family shaped generations.
On September 30, 1950, she married the love of her life, Alfred. Together they shared 58 years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, hard work, and love. Zelda was the cofounder of Husky Trailers & Parts, Inc., helping grow the family business while also working a second job at a Houston meat packing plant. Her work ethic and determination were unmatched, and she took great pride in providing for and supporting her family.
Her faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted and faithful member of the United Methodist church community, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and service.
Zelda embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. She was an avid bowler for 42 years and traveled across the United States with friends and bowling leagues, creating cherished memories along the way. She was also a talented quilter who lovingly crafted countless quilts for family and friends, leaving behind handmade treasures that will be passed down for generations. She took pride in keeping a beautiful yard and flower gardens and was known among loved ones as a lucky bingo player who enjoyed the thrill of the game and the friendships that came with it.
She is survived by her son, Danny Eugene Biedrzycki and wife Peggy Gail Biedrzycki; her daughter, Katheryn Marie Biedrzycki and partner, Delia Del Fierro; seven grandchildren: Jeffery Gambill (Carey), Michael Biedrzycki (Alisha), Jared Gambill (Lauren), Brigetta Biedrzycki (John), Pamela Anderson (Bo), Justin Gambill (Kristie), and Jason Biedrzycki (Miranda); 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, “Murph” and Iness Stanaland; her husband, Alfred; her brothers, James Audley, P.J., and Alan Stanaland; and her sisters, Ida Mae Wright, Jewel Lunsford, and Kathryn Chumley.
Zelda will be remembered for her unwavering faith, strong spirit, generous heart, and deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she so proudly led. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
