Doris Jean Morrison

Doris Jean Morrison, 86, of Hudson, Florida, passed away May 19, 2014. She was born to Roy and Madeline Lawson on December 6, 1927 at Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Hudson in 1989, coming from Roselle, Illinois. Doris was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of New Port Richey and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Roselle, Illinois. She was also a Lifetime Member of VFW Post 8681 of Spring Hill, Florida. Doris is remembered as one who loved, and would do anything for her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her children: Frank Edward Morrison, Jr. and Dennis Wayne Morrison; siblings: Shirley, Roy, Alberta, Albert, Patricia, and Kenneth; grandchildren: Kelly, Melissa, Sabrina, Johanas, Happi, Heike, Pepper, and Tammy; and great-grandchildren: Shawn, Marissa, Alessandro, Amber, John Charles (“J.C.”), Jasmine, Keltney, Travis, Cecilia, Timothy, Ashley, Rachel, Lindsey, Megan, and Chad. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank E. Morrison in 2002 and her daughter Sandra Jean Granzig in 1998.

A visitation is being held Friday, May 23, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, in Hudson, Florida. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., also at Grace Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow the Funeral Service in the Honor Garden at Grace Memorial Gardens.
