Adrienne Louise Ray

Adrienne was born in Santa Cruz, Ca on February 4, 1953. She was a resident of Modesto for the past 33 years. She entered peacefully into the gates of heaven on Saturday, July 16th, with her family by her side. Adrienne will be laid to rest beside her beloved son.

After she spent years as a devoted stay at home mother, Adrienne reentered the work force with the Modesto City Schools. With hard work and determination, she eventually graduated from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department Academy. Adrienne was extremely proud to be a deputy for over 13 years. She loved camping, taking day trips to San Francisco, and visiting her sister in Reno. Adrienne will be remembered most by her infectious smile and laughter.

Adrienne is survived by her son-in-law and daughter, Anthony and Barbara Machado; mother, Ruth Laurent of San Jose; brother, John (Janice) Laurent of Scotts Valley; sister Barbara (Scott) Loder of Sparks, NV, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, William "Billy" Ray; father, Raymond Laurent; and sister, Carol Calame.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. with service to follow in the Heritage Chapel at Lakewood Memorial Park.
