Agustin Ochoa at the age of 52 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 10, 2019. He was born in Los Reyes, Michoacán, Mexico on September 18, 1966. His parents immigrated to the United States with their three children in the mid-70’s and lived in the San Fernando Valley for several years. Agustin and family then relocated to Ceres, CA. Agustin is survived by his wife Arcelia of 30 years, his three beautiful children Robert Ochoa, Stephanie Ochoa and Salvador Ochoa, his father Rogelio Ochoa, mother Teresa Castañeda, sibilings Jorge Luis Ochoa, Rosa Ochoa Wilkinson, Gabriela Ochoa, Irene Lopez and Jesus Lopez.
Agustin was a man hard to forget. His witty sense of humor, intelligence, a laugh that was contageous, his humongous heart and generosity are a few of the many traits that made people gravitate towards him. He remained true to his character with all those he encounterd. He touched people’s lives and this was a true testiment during his passing; he was not alone.
Agustin was an avid fan of the Raiders, Lakers, Dodgers and USC Trojans. And yes, he stayed true to his Southern California roots. However, occasionally you would find him rooting for the A’s and Warriors. He was an informal philosopher of life and would chat your ear off about historical events if you let him. But most of all, he had passion for life, a love for engaging in conversation, and would do anything in his means to make you laugh or smile.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home & Lakewood Memorial Park.
