I am sorry to hear about your loss, my Uncle Al.  I have many fond memories of my Uncle from way back.  He will be truly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.  Let me know if there is anything, I can do to make things easier for you.  Love you Kenny

I am deeply saddened to here the loss of Uncle Al.  I know the only comfort I had when my father past, was to know he no longer suffered and that the Good Lord let me have him in my life for so long as he did.  What a blessing I am sure it was to you to have such a wonderful man to call your husband.  What a blessing it will be for you to know that one day he will be running to greet you in heaven.

As much as I wish you were here, I know you are at peace.  I cannot believe that you have left this world.  

I am so glad I was able to tell you that I love you the day before you left that meant so much to me.  You and I may not have talked as often as I would have liked, but in the end, I know you loved me as much as I loved you.  

I miss you grandpa.

I am so sorry Sally...I love him so much...I refuse to use that word in past tense.  I feel so very BLESSED to have seen him last year.  This world will not be the same without him.  He was a wonderful man, but now he is pure spirit guided by the Lord, and he is free to fly.  Like I told Susan, the angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God.  I have always loved that quote.  Please give everyone my love.  May God give you comfort in knowing that he is in a wonderful place now, and also that you will see him again one day in that place.  ?

I wanted to express my thoughts & memories of Uncle Al.I remember growing up that Uncle Al was my truck driving uncle for P.I.E.I always thought that was for a Pie company that sold dessert pies because thats whhat my Mom told me.Boy he was my favorite uncle!That really made an impression on me.Also,times he would coach little leauge & going over to your house for visits and he would be sleeping because he had to go to work.I also remeber him going to the Raider games and still a true fan.When I was little,I used to be scared of Uncle Al,but as I got older Uncle Al had the bigest heart of gold,he just didn't want anyone to know he had a heart of gold.He wanted people to think that on the outside he was a hard headed guy that didn't show any emotion,but deep down inside on the inside he was really just a big softy who would do absolutely anything for the people that he loved and cared about.Im glad my kids got to know their great Uncle Al.Thank you for all the memories and good times that you have all created for myself and my family.

Good Ol' Uncle Al! You were a man of real honor. Not only were you a Veteran, but you were a loving husband and a man with a huge heart.  I value your bravery, your devotion and you poise. I have my best memories of you, poolside, at my grandmother’s house. It seemed like we were always swimming and bbq-ing. You liked to poke fun and have a good time. That’s what family is all about. We know you are in a better place where pain and suffering has vanished, but as long as I live I will remember you as Uncle Al, the guy who always called me “April,” the guy who would always ask how I am doing and the guy who always had a soft spot for children of all ages. Thank you for being who you were, but most of all thank you for being my Uncle Al.

Albert Levesque (Uncle Al) I had the great oppertunity of having you around my whole 28 years of life. You watch me grow up and gave me hard times, but that was you. That was my uncle Al. I am glad to say that my boys Aiden & Austin had the chance to meet and get to know mine as well as there uncle Al.I love you.. always have and always will..

I have many memories of Al and will always remember him fondly. I will never forget the various places we went and the good times we had. He was a unigue man, with an amazing work ethic. He loved his family more then life itself. His outer shell was hard but inside he was as soft as a marshmellow.

Who was Albert Levesque to me? My daddy, yes I say daddy. As the famous saying is best said “any man can be father but it takes a special someone to be a daddy” and he will always be my daddy.

Daddy was the most stubborn man and at the same time the softest man, I have ever met. As I grew up he was strict, although this did not stop me and my sisters from pushing his buttons once in a while. All he had to do, was go for the leather belt hanging on the door (that by the way had no buckle and was never used) but, we would high tail it down the hall in our rooms before he ever got a chance... no questions asked…we just knew.

At the same time daddy, had a wonderful soft side where he took time teach each us to Waltz. When we achieved our mile stones in life, he would drop a tear at a time when he didn't think anyone was looking.

I want you to know that I love the way my daddy looked at me. They way he smiled and talked to me. He always knew when I needed a hug or a kiss or just a simple I love you.

They say God does everything for a purpose. My father molded me to be the woman I am today he inspired me to be anything I wanted to be. I'm grateful for him as a great role model, guiding me with outstanding work ethics, to stand strong and proud. His persistence for his children to exhibit integrity above all, Daddy, you taught us to be honest, trustful, and caring about people.

I am proud to be my daddy's daughter. Most of all of the values you have taught me daddy. You inspired your children in your awesome example of unconditional love. While growing old together with my mama your best friend and soul mate at your side, you exhibited life-long -love through 61 years of marriage.

I grateful for the wonderful times we have shared as a family from game night to traveling across the world. Cherished Memories that will always be in my heart, with all these things my daddy provided was the aspiration to pursue my dreams, the passion to succeed to make him proud.

God bless you daddy i will miss you, I know your spirit will always be with me. I will see you again one day. Until then continue to watch over me, for no matter what you will always be with me.

Albert Levesque Jr. was a husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa who provided his family with a loving home, food on the table, and many memorable memories.  He was my father-in-law who took me in when I was down on my luck and treated me as a member of his family.  Al was a man who was not afraid to state his opinion, especially when the Raiders were losing.  Al was not perfect. He was a man, however, who loved his family very much, and would not hesitate to help out a family member or friend in need.  I believe in Heaven, and I know Al is looking down on us right now, wanting us to celebrate his life and live
Our lives to the fullest.  I love you Al, and already miss you very much.

Our hearts will be forever touched because of you.  You are the shooting part of my shooting star.  You are the light at the end of a dark tunnel.  You are and always will be the best Albert you could be.  Only a grandpa would teas us like you did.. Only you would stick your socks in our face just for the hell of it.. A true Man, well what is a true man?  A true man is a man of love, courage, grace, strength, and power.  You fought for our freedom in World War II.  You fought for your family in life.  You stayed true to yourself, to everyone around you, and last but not least, you stayed true to God.  Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth.  Love patiently accepts all things.  It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures. Love never ends. So these three things continue forever; faith, hope, and love.  In addition, the greatest of these is love.  You loved everyone around you, and the life you had.  If there was ever a time life through you a curve ball you caught it and through it back.  God made us face many challenges but one of the worst challenges we have to face here on earth is death.  You suffered the last few months of your life.  God came August 25 and took that pain and suffering away.  You came into our lives for a reason, we may not know what that reason is yet, but you meant something to every one of us.  You are a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  You will be dearly missed.  May you rest in peace in heaven with our great father.  I cannot wait to see you again someday.  Love you Grandpa Al!

This was one of our trips to Hawaii, we had so much fun, I will miss you dad!

I have so many memories growing up I definitely could not share them all in this letter, but I do want to share some special ones that I hold close to my heart.  

I remember as a child:

Around the age of eight, I remember being teased by Randi and you felt so sad for what she had put me through.  You told me to come and sit on your lap, comforted me and said just the right things to make me feel better.  It meant so much dad I will never forget it.

You teaching me to drive though that was not so fun!

Going to dinner as a child the World’s Fair was always our restaurant of choice.

As a child, you took pride in arranging the greatest vacations.  The Painted Desert, Grand Canyon, San Diego Zoo, Disneyland, Carlsbad Caverns these are just some of our trips they were all great times and memory in my life I will never forget. 

I remember as an adult:

I will never forget the way you always called me dear, hello dear, how are you today dear, I love you dear and I loved the way you said that special word to me I will cherish it forever.  

On holidays, birthday’s, father’s day I would always make you homemade cards from my computer.  You always loved them so much and they were displayed around the house for years.  I did it because I loved you and I know how much you loved that special touch.  

The many cruses Alaska, Mexico, Canada, the Bahamas, the plane through the Misty Fiords where Eric got sick, playing dominos and the waiter bringing everyone gas masks we all laughed so hard.  When we played the scavenger hunt game, I needed teeth not worn, and you handed me your teeth right out of your mouth we all laughed so hard we cried.

I was always amazed that at around the age of 72 you wanted to learn the computer.  I must say you managed it pretty well but somehow you did always manage to mess something up.  It seemed like at least 2 times a week you would call or leave a message on my answering machine saying, Hello dear its dad can you come over and fix my computer!  I would always laugh and then head out the door to fix it for you.   

Over this last year, I made it a special point to come to see you everyday whether you were in the nursing home, hospital or at home sitting in your chair.  Sometimes you would be sleeping and I did not want to wake you but I would always give you a kiss goodbye and the strange thing even if you were sleeping you would say it back.

I love you so much dad and I will miss you with all of my heart.  Good-bye for now but not forever.

Dear Aunt Sally and Family,

I join with so many others who knew Uncle AL in offering my deepest sympathy on his passing. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction to know that in his passing you can celebrate the end of a very long and productive life.

The measure of a life well-lived is not in how much money one has or what possessions they have accumulated, but rather through the lives they touched and the sorrow they leave behind. If the outpouring of sympathy on his loss is any indication, and it most certainly is, you can proudly and confidently say that his indeed was a life well-lived.

May you find peace and comfort in knowing that his loss is felt by all who knew and loved him. May God give you peace and comfort.

I was deeply saddened to hear that you had lost your husband.  I am thinking of you and I send my heartfelt sympathy.

In the years that I have known Albert, he was a wonderful person!  He was a warm and gracious man.  I feel fortunate to have known him.

I had the honor and the pleasure to know your husband and I was very sorry to hear about his passing away.  I had the greatest respect for Al and will miss bowling with him, his generous nature, and his sense of humor.

R.I.P. to my Grandpa Al Levesque.  Loved husband and father to four kids.  Hard-working trucker, proud American, US Navy WWII Veteran, and all around good man.  Grandpa Al had a hard exterior, but was a kind man inside, a big softy.  He let me in, and I got to know him better before he passed.  He told me he was proud of me, and he loved me.  I gave him a big hug and told him I loved him the last time I saw him.  I will never forget that.

Albert Levesque JR (Grandpa)   you will be missed by many.   I am glad that Merrick and Zaden were able to meet and know you even if only for a short time.  You leave behind a legacy that for many would be hard to match-four children, 7 grandchildren, and at least 8 great grandchildren.  If any memory sticks out in my head more than any other it is you and I playing pool at your home in Hayward.  I would play with half a cue because a whole cue was just too long.  You would frequently accuse me of committing or performing what you called a “cheat shot” although the ball bounced off at least four bumpers that I did not plan on, the ball did go into the hole which is what I wanted it to do, but in the end you did always win.  You let me drive your dodge D50 even though somehow it burnt to the ground while I had it.  I still swear it was not my fault, regardless of what the insurance company says.  I regret that, Merrick and Zaden were never old enough to play a game of pool with you or to total your truck.  By the way Grandma, do I still owe you some money for the insurance deductible on the truck?  I fortunately was lucky enough to do these things and more with you and for that I will be forever grateful.  You will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
