Alice K. Hartlett

Alice Katharine Hartlett, a native of Modesto, passed away at Bethel Retirement Community at the age of 94. Alice was born to Joseph and Margaret Ford on Friday, August 15, 1919; she was one of 3 children. Alice attended Modesto High School, class of '37 graduating with honors and a scholarship to UCSF. Alice organized monthly Luncheons with her classmates for many years. As the years went by the group got smaller and Alice too found a time when she could no longer attend. But the memories created and the time spent with friends meant the world to Alice. She was also a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West and loved spending time with her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Bill Hartlett, granddaughter, Cassandra (Chuck) Shepherd and their children, Rachel, Charles, and Rebekah Shepherd, granddaughter, Heather Harteltt-Harrison and her children, Katee, Krysta, and Robby II Harrison. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and both siblings. We would also like to thank Bethel Retirement Community for the amazing care they gave to Alice. Funeral services will be private.
