Our belove Mother passed away peacefully with family at her side on
Saturday, September 25th, 2010, in Modesto, California. Alla was born
in Anson, Texas to parents James and Alla (Smith) Carter.
Alla has been a Modesto resident since 1943. She was a bookkeeper
for many years and retired from Modesto Tobacco and Candy Company.
She is a long time member of Orangeburg Baptist Church.
Mom was a king, gentle and loving Christian who will be greatly missed
by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband "Bud" and her son
Lawton "Tex" and daughter Pat Jones.
Alla is survived by daughters Marlene Mihell, Frances Hassapakis and son
James Hendricks, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 5 great
great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Friday, October 8th at 11:00
AM at Orangeburg Baptist Church, 313 E. Orangeburg Ave., Modesto, CA.
