Balbir Kaur Virk, 74, passed away 11:50pm on Friday April 8, 2016 at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Modesto, CA due to health related causes. She was visited and comforted by loved ones during her acute illness and final days.
Balbir was born on January 1, 1942, in Chak 32, Lyallpur, India. She was the fifth of seven children of Harbans Kaur and Pritam Singh Sandhu. Balbir is survived by spouse Surjit Singh, children Jasbir, Sukhwant and Rajwant, son in law Karamjeet, daughter in law Kirinpreet, grandchildren Arjun, Asha and Mehar, her brother and four sisters, and a large and loving extended family also survive her.
Funeral Services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson CA on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 11am – 1pm followed by lunch and religious services at Gurdwara Shahib Modesto, 5743 E. Hatch Road, Hughson, CA.
