

Barbara Pinuela Sesma was born 11/12/1928 in Stockton CA. her family moved to Modesto when she was 9 months old. Barbara went to Capital School, Washington School, Roosevelt Jr. High and graduated from Modesto High School in 1945. Barbara played softball from 1943 - 1945 for Flotill Cannery. She worked at Stanislaus County Title Co. from 1945 - 1947. Barbara married Larry Sesma Sr. and was married for 46 years; they had 4 children. Barbara carhopped at Burge's Drive-in from 1954 - 1955 and Felix Drive-in in 1959. She work at Title Insurance and Trust from 1960 - 1991 when she retired; but worked just a little longer at Stewart Title from 1992 - 1993. Barbara started bowling in 1963 and was inducted in the "Modesto Bowling Hall of Fame" in 1983, for "ability." She also service on the Board of Directors for the Modesto Women's Bowling Association. She was a S.F. Giants and 49er fan, she loved watching Nascar; especially Tony Stewart. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, George and Edna Pinuela, brother, Earl Pinuela, husband, Larry Sesma Sr., and granddaughter Nicole Sesma. She is survived by her children: Barbara Jean Sesma Lowe, Pamela Lawrence, Shelley Tarango, and Larry Sesma Jr. 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, sister, Ramona Clark on Chico, CA., and many nieces and nephews. When Barbara wrote out some of her obituary information before her passing she wrote; "Thanks to my children for taking care of me when I was ill. I want to thank my Bowling Buddies, Claudelle Bonaccinie, Jackie Turner and Peggy Amarante, who drove me to the Bowling Tournaments, it was fun so thanks again." "Don't cry at my grave 'cause I won't be there. I'll be in the breeze that ruffles your hair. I'll be in the sunshine, I'll be in the snow, I'll be in the places where we used to go. I'll be in your laughter and in funny things, I'll be in your shadow and there in your dreams. I'll be in your greeting but not in your goodbyes. I'll be in the reflection of your loving eyes. I'll always be with you and I'll always care, so don't cry at my graveside, 'cause I won't be there." A Memorial chapel service will be held to honor Barbara's life, at Lakewood Funeral Home in the Heritage Chapel, on Monday, Feb. 9th at 12:30pm. Barbara asks that donations be made to your favorite charities.
