Betty Lou Di Gino, 81 years young passed away on January 16, 2019 at Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Upstate New York, she lived and worked in Modesto, California retiring from Sears as a Human Resource Manager.
As a young lady, Betty made her family a priority and would often go without to make sure they were cared for. On May 25, 1963 she married her soulmate Ronald A. Di Gino. Together they raised their family in the Bay area and relocated to Modesto, California in 1978.
Betty enjoyed crocheting and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with ger family. She opened her heart and home to numerous people throughout the years. Many people would tell you that they wouldn’t be who they are today without her love, support, and discipline.
Betty is survived by her beloved husband Ron, two sons and a daughter: Craig, Russell and Lucinda, her siblings: William Henry, Gerald Henry, and Shannon Mussen. She also leaves eight grandchildren: Shirley, Anthony, Steven, Nina, Taryn, Zachary, and Michael, and nine great grandchildren: Ryan, Kaila, Hannah, Rylee, Cruz, Elli, Kinley, Colton, and Gunnar. She is predeceased by her son Randall.
Betty’s loving spirit led her to “adopt” Thys, Tamara, and Kelly, who she claimed as her own. She also leaves behind many family members and friends that will miss her dearly.
