Billy Ray Morning Affectionately called “Papa Bill”, passed away peacefully at home with his sons by his side. He was born on October 23, 1934 in England, Arkansas and died on February 27, 2019 in Ceres, California. Preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend of 67 years Eva Pearl Moring and his son Ricky Ray Moring. Born to late Jessie James Moring and Lillian Moring-Pate. Brother James Moring.
Billy leaves behind two sons: Randy (LeeAnn) Moring, Ronnie (Debbie) Moring and Daughter-in-law (Sheri) Moring. Eight grandsons: Chad (Natalie), Brandon (Annie), Dustin (Tiffany), Jeffrey (Nina), Brad (Tiffany), Ryan (Jana), Kyle (Kelly), Aaron (Kimberley). One granddaughter: Ashlee (Brett) and 18 Great grandchildren. Sister: Virginia Bunch (Billy), Niece: Lori Thompson, Nephew: Robert Moring.
Billy Ray married the love of his life when they 17 years old. They both Attend McFarland High School. Where he was a star-varsity athlete in Baseball, Football, Track & Field. After high school, he had various jobs to support his growing family (bailing hay, picking cotton, and painting). He started his own painting business and included his three sons, “Bill Moring and Sons”.
Billy was the President of The Mr. and Mrs. Club, where he and Eva would show off their dance skills.
He loved to golf, garden and gamble, along with water skiing, playing domino’s marbles and cards with family and friends.
Billy, Dad, Papa, was the glue that bound this family together. He was strong, positive, encouraging and could always be, counted on if any of us had a need! He was funny, loving and the one who filled our hearts and minds, with wonderful stories of day gone by. We never had to wonder who we were or where we came from. He was truly, loved and will be greatly, missed by all who knew him.
