On November 2nd, 2019, God gained one incredible angel! Bill Wemyss was happily married to his wife, Cheryl for 54 years. He was extremely proud of his two children, Tami and Marc. Nothing could compare for the love he felt for his grandchildren, Parker, Hannah and Tallon. Bill is also survived by his brother Kerry, his wife Claudia and their daughters, Emily and Kasey, his Mother-In-Law, his Sister-in-law, six other nieces and nephews and their children. Bill worked as a Glass Maker, Painter and Forklift Driver for over thirty years at Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company. For many years he was proudly involved in Babe Ruth Baseball. He was known as Coach or Dad to countless baseball and softball players as well as moto-cross racers throughout the years. Bill loved dirt bike riding with his family and later watching Marc become quite the racer! Bill loved to watch Oakland A's Baseball, he and Tami went to games as often as they could. He loved watching Ice Hockey(mostly the fights), old cowboy movies and American Pickers. For the last several years he "worked" as a Docent at McHenry Museum, he loved talking to anyone that would listen about the Modesto Fire Department section of the museum, he was so proud that his father was Fire Chief in Modesto years ago. If you knew Bill, you also know that he had the biggest heart, he truly would do anything for anyone that asked - it may take him a little bit, but he would do it! We would really enjoy reading any memories you have of Bill, aka- Pops, aka- Coach!
