Carroll Wayne Hendrix

It is with great sadness that the family of Carroll Wayne Hendrix announces his passing. He died peacefully with his wife, Donna, by his side. He was born in Ava, Missouri, on Decembe 30, 1942, and died in Coos Bay, Oregon on February 12, 2021. He was 78 years old. He was predeceased by his parents, Chalmer and Lucille Hendrix, and his sister and brother in law, Elwanda and Sherman Porter. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Wey) Hendrix of Lakeside, Oregon, and his brother and sister in law, Norman and Patti Hendrix of Riverbank, California, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Carroll's family moved to Riverbank, California when he was a toddler. He attended elementary school in Riverbank, and graduated from Oakdale High School in 1960. Carroll married Donna Wey in 1969, and moved to Modesto, CA in 1974. Carroll had a strong work ethic, and retired from Crown Cork and Seal (formerly CT Supply and Tri Valley Container Company) in 2001 after 36 years of employment. Carroll and Donna moved to Lakeside, Oregon after her retirement in 2005.

Carroll enjoyed country music, hunting with hounds for raccoon and bear, motorcycle racing, water skiing, fishing, camping, dancing, golf, and upon retirement, Rving in Yuma, Arizona during the winter months. Carroll had a passion for excellence, and excelled in everything he did. He established a good role model for those around him with examples of tasks, undertakings, endeavors and problem solving. One could always learn something from Carroll. He had a terrific insight for identifying problems and solutions. He was a common sense type of guy.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on March 3, 2021 at Lakewood Memorial Park.

This is the last time I was able to spend time with my brother in September 2020. We had a wonderful 10 days together. I Love you, big brother forever ❤
