Charleen passed away in Hughson CA after a long illness with cancer. She was born Charleen Marie Curci on January 11,1939. She is preceded in death by her parents Nick and Angie Curci, her brother Bobbie, and son Nicholas William McBride. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Loren, her son Donald McBride, her great grandson Anthony McBride and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
Charleen was raised on 200 acres in the Ceres area. Her greatest joy was riding her quarter horse “Bonnie” from sunrise to sunset. She was crowned “Queen of the Rodeo” and led the July fourth parade in downtown Modesto. She graduated from Turlock High School in 1956. Charleen was a very active person. She was a Jafra Skin Care Consultant for several years. In 1977 she had hundreds of clients and was consultant of the year, she was rated 23rd out of 25,000 consultants in the nation.
In 1984 she met Loren who was a Police Officer for the City of Santa Clara. They were made for each other and were married 5 months later.
Charleen and Loren have owned several airplanes and could usually be found flying somewhere for lunch or somewhere for a day of pleasure. Charleen was an active co-pilot, having taken flight training herself.
Charleen was a beautiful, loving, caring person who was always available to help a friend in need.
Having been a resident of several cities in Stanislaus County, her final residence was in Hughson Ca. She will be missed by all.
