It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Mahnke, who left this world on November 13, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Chris faced his illness with the same strength, determination, and quiet courage that defined his entire life.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Mahnke, who stood faithfully by his side through every chapter of their life together. He is survived by his daughters, Tiffany Wilson and Alissa Taylor, his son-in-law, Andrew Taylor, and his cherished grandson, Theodore Taylor, who brought immense joy and light into his final years. He is also survived by his brother, Brian Mahnke; sister-in-law, Beth Mahnke; sister, Amy Koehler and brother-in-law, Greg Koehler; and his cousins, Ted Herrera and Tina Herrera. Chris was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Holly Mahnke, whose memory he carried in his heart always.
A man of deep dedication and unwavering integrity, Chris proudly served 29 years with the California Highway Patrol, protecting and supporting the community he loved. After retiring from the CHP, he brought his strong work ethic and reliability to E.J. Gallo Winery and later to Ace Hardware, where he continued to build friendships and make a positive impact on those around him.
Chris was a hardworking man in every sense—devoted to his family, loyal to his friends, and committed to doing every job with care and honesty. He found joy in the simple moments of life, especially those spent with his loved ones and his loyal dog, Max, who remained faithfully by his side.
Those who knew Chris will remember his kindness, his steady presence, and his unwavering devotion to the people he cared about. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Chris’s legacy of love, service, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
May he rest in peace.
