Courtney Lynn Silva

On December 31, 2014 Courtney lost her 4 year battle against Leukemia at the age of 25. Courtney was born and raised in the Turlock area. She attended Schendel Elementary School in Delhi, then she went on to graduate from Turlock Junior High School in 2003 and Pitman High School in 2007.

Courtney had many struggles but she never let that stop her from living life. She attended camp for visually impared, she had the opportunity to travel to France, she was a cheerleader for Turlock Vikings for 7 years and Pitman High School her freshman year. She was also involved with and became Honor Queen of Job's Daughters. During high school Courtney was a member the Pitman High School FFA. After high school Courtney attended Modesto Junior College where she studied Horticulture and Floral Design until she was diagnosed with Acute Lyphocytic Leukemia in August 2010. Courtney was very crafty and had many hobbies such as floral design, scrapbooking and much more.

Courtney is survived by her parents Jeffery & Denise Silva, sister Stephanie Miguel (Jim), nephews Aiden Shaw & Seth Miguel and Niece Stella Miguel, Grandparents Milton & Naomi Young and Janet Fisher and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Courtney is preceded in death by her sister Summer Shaw (2004).

Coco had a passion for life that most people cannot comprehend. Even during her treatment she found the good in everything, she never had a complaint or questioned her situation. She wasn't just alive, she lived! Coco is a true hero and inspiration. Coco you are SO loved and you will be missed SO much. See you on the flip side <3

Services are being held at Lakewood Funeral Home at 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson, CA 95326.

Visitation will be Friday Jan 9th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday Jan 10th at 11:00 am.
