David Leon Hutsell, 63, of Modesto, California, passed away March 27, 2019. He was born on September 8, 1955 in Ft. Hood, Texas, where his father, Ted, served in the military. After Ted got a position with the California Highway Patrol, several moves led the family to their ultimate destination in Modesto, California, where David spent most of his life. David graduated from Thomas Downey High School. He was a gentle, peace-loving man with a fondness for bird watching and an innocent outlook on life. David is survived by his mother, Veda Hutsell; his brothers, Larry (Bonnie) and Randy (Elisabeth); his sister Dianna (Robert) Huffman; 6 nieces; 1 nephew; 3 great-nephews; and 1 great-niece. A small graveside memorial service will be held for the immediate family members at 11 a.m. on April 4, 2019 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, California.
