David Harvey Vernon, 85, passed away at Memorial Hospital peacefully on May 27, 2023 surrounded by loving family members. He was born on October 4, 1937 in a cabin outside of Ardmore, OK to William and Jewel Vernon.
David is survived by his children; Lora Van Ruiten, Michael Vernon and Eric Vernon: and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
David’s wife, our sweet mom, Carol Ann Vernon, shared 68 years of a wonderful and loving marriage before her passing on December 2, 2019. Mom and Dad truly enjoyed all the years they spent together with family and friends on their houseboat on Lake Don Pedro.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, June 9 at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Memorial Park in the Hillcrest Garden with a celebration of David’s life immediately following at Lakewood Funeral Home in the hospitality room.
