Delores Lavern Osborn Felser

Mrs. Felser graduated from Modesto High in 1961 and attended MJC for

Photography; she won Best of Show for her photos. Delores was a Foster

Parent for 20 years and served as VP and Membership Chairperson for the

Stanislaus County Foster Parent Association. She was an employee of Excel

Center for teenage boys and served on numerous committees including

Fundraising and Planning. She also organized and implemented projects and events for foster,

Adoptive and Kinship Families and for Excel center. Delores was serious about advocating

and lobbying for the rights of foster children and parents at local, state and national levels.

She has said that her work was never just a job; but a calling for her.

Above all, Delores was a loving and passionate Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Mrs. Felser is survived by her Soul Mate and Husband of 52 yrs, John Felser, Daughters;

Deanna Mello, Genise Williams and Denise Salinas, Son, John Brian Felser, Grandchildren;

Nancy Salinas, Delores England, Daniel Salinas, Sharon Richard, John Kaden Felser, Ryan McLean,

Melinda Mello and Cera Felser, Great Grandchildren; Chris England, Shyanne England, Chloie Snavely,

Caitlyn England and Bella England. She was preceded in death by her Parents; James Elvin Osborn

And Eulah Loretta Maxwell and Grandson, Monty Spencer Mello.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in the Riverside Chapel on

Friday, April 1, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
