Donna was born in Sacramento, CA to Charles and Prudence Duncan in 1943. Soon after Donna was born, the family moved to Modesto, CA where Donna attended and graduated from Modesto High School.
Upon graduation from high school, Donna met the love of her life, Sal Cannella. While cruising 10th & 11th Street in downtown Modesto, when seeing Sal drive by, asked her friend “Who is that cute Italian?” and they started up a conversation that lasted 63 years.
The marriage produced three children, Nikki, Anthony, and Vince Cannella and grandchildren Joey, Katelyn, Dominic, Jacob, Caleb, Mackey, Elise, Tyler and Hope.
Donna’s passion was her family followed by traveling. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and family, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Henry, Terri, John and Debbie and friends, who are considered family, Gordon and Mary Walk.
While growing up Donna didn’t have much, but when she started working she was very generous with helping others in need and animal organizations. That love for people and animals (mostly cats) in need lasted her entire life.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her in laws Lucille and Anthony Cannella and her grandson Joey Manrique.
