Doris Alyene Ferguson

Doris Alyene Ferguson, age 85, passed away at her son's home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waldron, Arkansas to parents Arch and Lola (Ballard) Hutchens. The family moved from Arkansas to California in 1948. She was married to the love of her life, Charles Ferguson, for 60 years. Together they raised 4 children; Wanda, Kenneth, Anne and Susie.

Charles and Doris owned and operated Chevron gas stations in the Ceres area, along with Hub's Café in Riverbank. She was known for her wonderful pies and salads. Doris was also a district manager for Stanley Home Products for over 30 years. She also loved singing and listening to music. She was a loving, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend to many.

She is survived by her children; Wanda Birdsong (Ken Russel), Kenneth (Goldie) Ferguson, Anne (Arno) Krippene, Susie (Greg) Farris; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, 4 brothers and 2 sisters and was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles and 1 brother.

A visitation will take place on Friday, December 19 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a chapel service on Saturday, December 20 at 10:00 AM, both to be held at Lakewood Funeral Home (Heritage Chapel), 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA.
