Dorothy worked for Department Of The Navy for over 40 years, (WWII-Korea-Vietnam Era - Grenada & Libya Crises). First stationed at Treasure Island, in San Francisco through WWII, transferring to the Navel Supply Center in Oakland in the early 50's, then serving the last 20 years of her career stationed at Oak Knoll Hospital, Oakland where she retired in 1986.
All Navy issued items: bullets, your pair of skivvies, operating fuel, the Jet you flew, foods to make 'SOS' or the band-aid on your toe was likely processed and issued by her. Dorothy was a dedicated career woman and God Bless us all; where the hell would we be without her today?
Hooyah Navy! So proud of You. A life well lived Mom!
